The first example is a study that collected data on recruitment methods (internal and external ways) FROM seven Midwest states, and the superintendents were asked to rate the advantages and limitations of these strategies as well.

Let’s see what methods superintendents reported in this study and how they rated the strategies.

In the fall of 2000, all 3,506 superintendents in the seven contiguous Midwest states that are served by the U.S. Department of Education’s North Central Regional Educational Laboratory were sent a two-page survey and a cover letter encouraging their participation from the appropriate administrator organization in their state.
